Google is testing an "add to calendar" link on event dates inside some AI Overviews, per Search Engine Roundtable. Khushal Bherwani first spotted the link in a screenshot on X and later saw it disappear on an identical, refreshed query; Search Engine Roundtable's Barry Schwartz could not reproduce it in his own testing. Google has not confirmed the test.

Why it matters: Calendar actions would push AI Overviews from displaying information toward completing a task directly on the results page, extending a run of surface tests Google has shipped to AI Overviews this fall.

## What this answers

**Does Google AI Overviews let you add events to your calendar?**

Google appears to be testing an "add to calendar" link on event dates inside AI Overviews, per Search Engine Roundtable. Google has not confirmed the feature.

**Is the AI Overviews add-to-calendar link available to everyone?**

No — it looks like a limited, inconsistent test. The spotter saw it vanish on a refreshed identical query, and Search Engine Roundtable's Barry Schwartz could not reproduce it at all.
