SerpApi seeks to dismiss Google's amended DMCA complaint
SerpApi filed a motion on August 28 to dismiss Google’s First Amended Complaint, per Chat GPT Is Eating the World. Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers had mostly dismissed Google’s original DMCA anti-circumvention claim in July before Google refiled a narrower version on August 11.
Why it matters: It's another round in one of the only active tests of whether DMCA anti-circumvention claims can reach the scraping infrastructure behind AI search tooling.
