Ten items and one throughline: BrightEdge's weekly panel is where the record's Reddit numbers come from. Its analysis put Reddit's tracked search footprint up roughly 33x between June 2025 and February 2026 and its AI citations up about 84% from February to July before plateauing; a later cut found Reddit citations skew to shoppers who already know the brand; and in September its Education-category panel showed Reddit's ChatGPT citations falling from 17.2% to zero in two weeks. The same panel keeps finding that the two big engines cite differently — different assets within the same social platforms, different slices of the same YouTube video (Google links a timestamped moment in 50% of its YouTube citations, ChatGPT in 0.6%), and different authorities in health, where ChatGPT's top five cited domains are all government agencies or hospital systems. On the product side BrightEdge launched Agent Edge, which serves agents a Markdown version of a page at the CDN layer, and rebranded Autopilot as Site Agent inside a new agents suite.
