AI-generated images begin appearing in AI Overviews
Google has started showing AI-generated images within AI Overviews in Google Search, Search Engine Roundtable reported, about a month after Google said it planned to roll out the feature.
Why it matters: A feature Google previewed a month ago is now visible in live results, which means AI Overviews are starting to generate original imagery, not just summarize and cite existing pages.
