BrightEdge renames Autopilot to Site Agent, adds two more automation agents

BrightEdge has rebranded Autopilot — its internal-linking automation tool with a decade of production history — as “Site Agent,” now the first of three tools in a new Site Agents Suite, the company said September 3. The suite adds Schema Agent, which generates and updates JSON-LD structured data as pages change, and Publishing Agent, which pushes title tag, meta title, and H1 updates into WordPress, Drupal, and other CMS platforms. Site Agent and Schema Agent run autonomously; Publishing Agent requires manual confirmation before changes go live. BrightEdge says existing customer pricing and contracts are unchanged, but named no customers and gave no date for when Schema Agent and Publishing Agent themselves were built.

Why it matters: BrightEdge is betting that SEO automation sells better packaged as 'agents' than as a single tool — a naming shift that tracks how the wider category is repositioning existing automation as agentic.
