Google Image Search adds AI-suggested collections
Google Image Search now suggests new folders or collections for images a user saves, flagged “suggested by AI” alongside a Gemini icon over the folder, per Search Engine Roundtable. The feature extends Google’s existing save-to-collections tool, which previously required users to create and name folders themselves.
Why it matters: It extends Gemini-branded suggestion UI from Search proper into Image Search's save/organize flow, another surface where Google now inserts an AI layer between a user action and the result.
