Google switches Search Live to run on Gemini 3.8
Google Search Live, the audio-and-video conversational search mode, now runs on Gemini 3.8 Live, Google’s newest live-dialogue model, per Search Engine Roundtable. Search Live launched globally in March 2026 after Google dropped its earlier opt-in requirement.
