Google AI Mode's monitoring feature rolls out to everyone
Google has rolled out monitoring capabilities in AI Mode to all Search users globally, per Search Engine Roundtable. Users can tell AI Mode what to watch for — a restock, a price drop, a local opening — and it checks sites, forums, social posts and Google’s Shopping Graph before sending an alert through the Google app. The feature launched in June 2026 as “information agents,” restricted to paid Ultra (and later Pro) subscribers; Google gave no timeline for wider access at the time.
Why it matters: It's a second sign, after August's flight-price tracking, that Google is building AI Mode into a standing, proactive layer rather than a one-shot answer box — and giving that layer away free narrows the gap with dedicated AI-monitoring tools.
