Semrush ends Copilot tracking in Enterprise AIO on November 9

What this answers

Is Semrush dropping Microsoft Copilot from AI visibility tracking?
Yes. Per PPC Land, Semrush told Enterprise AIO customers it will discontinue Copilot tracking on November 9, 2026, saying recent changes to Copilot's access requirements stop AI visibility platforms from collecting the data.
What happens to Copilot prompts in Semrush Enterprise AIO?
Customers can return the Copilot prompts to their overall balance, or keep the historical Copilot data while the prompts keep counting against the balance. Tracking of other supported AI platforms continues.

Semrush will discontinue Microsoft Copilot tracking in its Enterprise AIO product on November 9, 2026, per PPC Land, which reports a customer notice sent October 28 and shared publicly by consultant Glenn Gabe. The notice says recent changes to Copilot’s access requirements prevent AI visibility platforms, including Semrush’s, from collecting the data needed; tracking of other supported AI platforms is unaffected.

Customers can either return their Copilot prompts to their overall balance or keep the historical Copilot data while the prompts continue to count against it. The notice does not name the Microsoft change, and PPC Land notes Semrush has not tied the decision to any one of them. Microsoft began requiring a sign-in for Copilot in August, and its consumer terms bar bots and scrapers, though neither Microsoft statement mentions measurement tools.

Why it matters: Semrush is the first AI visibility vendor on the wire to say a platform's access rules, not its own choice, ended coverage of an engine, so Copilot numbers from any tracker now depend on how that tool gets in.
